From what little I have read of the histories of the Clans, As a Macbeth you could have served in the earlier Crusades but the clan was absorbed into others by the late Middle Ages. The cmerons as far as I can find did not really come into existance until the later Medeival period so could have served in later Eastern European Crusades.
As far as joining both English and Scots, the English very frequently held lands in Scotland and visa-versa Depending on who was the King in England. Is there any evidence of the Lawrences holding lands in Scotl;and and if so where? There might be cross-over there. And as this is a Creative historical group, just showing probability is usually enough.
Good Luck
Thanks man! Yea the MacBeth "Family" as I call us since there was hardly anyone of the name throughout Scotland for the longest time (I once read there was no more then sixty at a time of the name) you might also find under the names McBee, Beaton etc.
The Cameron's history traces back to the 1400's if I remember correctly though I did find something on them about the battle of bannockburn I believe it was, but anyways no one knows their origins either the followers of a Danish prince who came to help in the restoration of.. ah can't remember! or a Caledoni clan.
But they do hold the MacMartins as one of their tribes which is one of the oldest and has some Celtic myths (Though practically everyone from Scotland or Ireland has some mythical or legendary ancestry) about it. Not to mention some other tribes.
I've been checking up on the Lawrences it seems they really only held Ashton Hall sadly, I would've liked to mix but oh well.
Well anyways thanks!
