I have been somewhat disconnected from the SCA armor building and buying for some time now as I have not had the need. Recently I decided to update/upgrade my armor so I went to the old usual places like SCA.org merchant list... and a few other places... where have they all gone? I s'pose the recession killed off a few but wow... I mean there are renaissance and medieval clothing and garb sites but as far as like Helms and leather...

So does anyone have a favorite? or can suggest armories that do Helms and leather?

I did write to this place: Torvaldr's Leatherworks at skaldic.com cuz he's got some really nice leather pieces but have received no answer yet...

This guy has some nice work up on his website and was recommended to me by someone from my local area. Makes helms and metal armour(various metals) with a little bit of leather. I'm looking at getting a helm made by him myself when I can afford it.
