So basically I was wondering where I could buy a suit of cheapish armor, or if anyone is selling...

Anyways Im looking kinda for a stylish, if I can Celtic sorta, armor. Just something that works well but will look good on me as well.. Well anyways, thanks for any help!

I was looking for the same. I've found that the cheapest steel you can find is from www.ashcraftbaker.com This would be for steel helm, gauntlets, elbows, knees and gorget (if you don't craft one out of leather). Total set of non-polished steel is 220.00 plus shipping.

I have also found that the Spangen helm at BudK is only about 60 bucks right now. It's 14G and should suffice if you're in a pinch. Again, it's pitted and not pretty, but you only said cheap. LoL

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHCRAFT BAKER!!!

If you are looking for cheap check out Armour Archives classified section, loads of guys selling all kinds of stuff. I suggest Icefalcon Armory.

Also, depending on time period you are going to portray NO KILTS! (they didn't become popular until about the 16th century) also you are going to more than likely be wearing chainmail with a Spangen helm. (Greathelms didn't become popular until late 12th early 13th century)

I'm floating around either 8th-9th century or 11th-12th century. Also, for garb (Especialy lowland Scots) styles followed English fashion.
