hello again everyone!
I started my next set of clinical work this past Monday, and I am quite enjoying it. Psychology is something that I find fascinating and am hoping to find a job in when I graduate. Currently, I am sitting in the Dunkin' Doughnuts drinking a cold "hot" chocolate trying to beat the heat (its currently about 102 degrees right now). I'm normally used to the heat, but its really taking a toll on my body this year. I had went to see the doctor this past Wednesday, and he believes I have early onset RA. once the x-rays and blood work come back we will know better whats going on. I am allowed to do whatever I want (fencing, knitting, computer work, sewing), but unfortunately it is taking a lot out of me very quickly.
I am trying to get mending done on my garb and on Jehan's garb. I am not going to Pennsic with him this year since I am finishing up school, but I am loaning out my garb to a newcomer who is going with her boyfriend. I am hoping to have my red sideless surcoat done along with my green T-tunic done for sunday so I can hand it all over on tuesday so they can finish packing. Due to Pennsic, I havn't had a lot of my personal work done. I finished new coording for Jehan's boots, and I've been working on my surcoat. after he leaves, I will continue with my socks (hopefully).
Sunday, we are helping out with a small medieval event in Bloomsburg, Pa at Camp Victory. It is a camp for family's and individuals with mental and physical disabilities. This week is Camp Spifida, for children with Spina Bifida. I am not sure what all is going to be going on then, but we will have approximatly 65 children at the camp where we will have finger loop braiding, heraldry bingo, and shield making set up for them to do. I am so excited to be working with these kids, and I hope we have good weather for it!
I hope everyone has a good week, and I hope you beat the heat! Pennsic is only a week away!
Always,
~Antoinette
