One of my dreams when it comes to my love for Renaissance is to learn how to dance Renaissance Dances. Last Friday was my first Renaissance Dance with the Shire and it was absolutely fantastic!

I had a great time undertaking a goal I've had for a while - to eventually master the art of Renaissance Dance (which is something my Persona will master), and the overall experience (which was also my very first SCA activity) was a lot of fun!

The Shire members I met were very welcoming and helpful! They were patient with me, as I am brand new to the dances, and were very friendly!

I already have some contacts to help me with garb making and embroidery! I am thrilled!

I can only hope that when I am a SCA veteran I can help a newbie as much as they helped me!

So Renaissance Dance, Embroidery, and Garb Making are the three skills I am focusing on now, and are the areas where my persona will be skilled as well!

Needless to say, this History Geek is super giddy!
